In 2024 and 2025, some scammers offered registrations for sale on Facebook. Please be cautious, as we can’t vouch for the legitimacy of all sellers or posts on social media and cannot take responsibility for fraudulent arrangements. We recommend only posting and communicating about registrations on our official Facebook page & event and avoid using any social media pages not officially linked to the YRTM.
Registration transfers, and any money exchanges, are the responsibility of the sellers and buyers involved. YRTM will not be involved in or responsible for any transfer arrangements. We strongly recommend completing a transfer through Events.com before exchanging money. Here’s how it works:
When the seller initiates a transfer, an Events.com email is sent to the buyer (and seller), for the buyer to claim the seller’s registration.
The buyer should reimburse the seller only after receiving an email confirmation of the transfer from Events.com.
Once the transfer is complete, the seller receives an Events.com cancellation email for their original registration and the buyer receives an Events.com confirmation email for their new registration.

Individual registrants–marathon, half marathon, and half marathon walk–can change their race category.
If someone other than the registrant purchased the registration, that person must make the change in Events.com.
Relay team registrants must send their change requests to register@yukonmarathon.com to be completed by YRTM.
To change your race category:
Examples: from full to half marathon or from half marathon to half marathon walk.
1. Log in to Events.com. If you don't have an account, select "Sign Up" and use the same email address you used for your oder.
2. Find Yukon River Trail Marathon order and click on "View Order"
4. Click on "Manage Registration" and “Change Registration”
5. Select your new race category and click “Continue.”
6. Review your order and answer any custom questions for the new race category.
7. If you ordered a shirt, your size will be preselected. You can change the size if available (at no extra charge), or purchase a new one now by selecting an available size.
8. Review everything and click “Submit Order.” You’ll receive an Events.com confirmation email for your change.

If you need to transfer your registration to someone else, follow these steps. The current registrant is the “seller,” and the new registrant is the “buyer.” If someone other than the registrant purchased the registration, that person must initiate the transfer in Events.com.
For a seller to transfer a registration:
1. Log In to Events.com Experience. If you don’t have an account, select “Sign Up” and use the same email address as you used for your order.
2. Find your Yukon River Trail Marathon order and click “View Order”, or for relay teams, click “Manage Event” and then “View Order”.
3. Click “Manage Registration” then “Transfer Registration.”
4. Enter the buyer’s email and click “Send Transfer.” This sends an Events.com email to the buyer (and seller), for the buyer to claim the seller’s registration.
5. Once the transfer is complete, the seller receives an Events.com cancellation email for their original registration and the buyer receives an Events.com confirmation email for their new registration.
Important notes to read before initiating a transfer:
For individual events: If the buyer wants a different race category (e.g., from half marathon to full marathon), the seller should change the category before transferring.
For relay teams: You can transfer your registration to someone interested in one of the individual events—marathon, half marathon, half-marathon walk—after your registration is changed from relay to an individual event. Contact YRTM to make this category change for you. Teams cannot transfer to other teams.
If changes are needed after a transfer, YRTM will need to be contacted for assistance to avoid any duplicate costs.

If the seller purchased a shirt, it transfers to the buyer in the purchased size. The buyer cannot decline the shirt and should select “included in transfer” when registering. Within a week, the shirt will be added to the buyer’s registration. The buyer can request a different size by contacting register@yukonmarathon.com. Please keep in mind that shirt inventory is limited and the preferred size might not be available.

Relay team members can change their own relay leg(s) online.
To change your relay leg(s):
1. Log In to Events.com Experience. If you don’t have an account, select “Sign Up” and use the same email address as on your registration.
2. Find your Yukon River Trail Marathon registration and click “Manage Event” and then “View Order”.
3. Click “Manage Registration” then “Edit Information.”
4. Scroll to the leg question, open the dropdown, and select or deselect legs by clicking them.
5. Click “Save” when finished.

Relay teams who withdraw: Withdrawing relay team members have the option of transferring their spots to individuals who are interested in running one of the individual events: the full marathon, the half marathon or the half marathon walk.
Teams can not transfer their spots to another team.
